I baked a cake.  A yellow vanilla cake.  Then i pureed blackberries, and added sugar water and cornstarch to make something like blackberry jelly.  Then, I put a thick layer of the blackberry puree in-between the cake layers.  I also folded some of the puree into the cream i whipped.  It made a lavender colored cake, which i topped with whole blackberries.  It made a light dessert that was not overly sweet.  Yummy.
